Okay..
First of all, I would like to know how you consider being a vegan/vegetarian as flawed. I would like to see 10 points where not harming another living creature brings flaw. If you can convince me that choosing "beans" over gnawing on a living, caring creatures dead thigh is flawed...then by all mean, please do. In fact, I challenge you to. I challenge anyone to give me 10 points that will turn me around to their carnivorous way of life. If they can do that, I will invite you all to my house to watch me chow down on a carcass...*cross my heart*

Secondly, since when does the rising price of beef bring on protests of cruelty to animals? Personally, the price of beef or any other meat has no intrinsic value to me in my fight against meat eaters. It's the fact that these animals have to die so that humans can put their dental floss to good use that I am fighting.

I would pay 10 times the usual price for beans if everyone would stop eating meat...no problem.
