: how do people feel about organized religon? Is it too controlling?

OK I actively take part in organised religion and for me it fufils a few needs. Spiritualy I cant accept that this is it and nothing awaits after death, its a bit to absolute for my liking but I'm a bit a self proclaimed enamy of religion and evangalism.

Organised religion is good but its never infallible, its texts whether they're the Bible, the Koran, or the old testament arent infallible (although I find most of it applicable to everyday life), its institutions certainly arent infallible and need to be scrutinised by those who are subject to their "control".

I however and the sworen enamy of evangalism it is a scourge to humanity we now for the most part live in a (semi) Free World and people can research religion and make choices for themselves without the blatant imperialism of ideas putting in an apperance right?

As long as it never reverts to the tyranny of the 19th century I have no problem with it. I dont think the reformation served any purpose either if you oppose something you change it you dont try to institute a renegade system, apart from that it allowed for greater tyrannical evangalism.

I think the "revolutionary" athiests such as Marx and Bakunin where just as bad as the other evangalists too.
