Sounds to me like a real CLASS WAR act! Think of the economy as a turn of the century ocean liner, with the rich of the U.S., Europe, and Japan in first class, the middle class from these countries and the rich of the 3ed world in second class, and everyone else in steerage. Those living in the "Millionaire's Suites" obviously don't want the ship reconfigured to give more space to the masses down in steerage and will do anything to keep things as they are.

Meanwhile steerage pays the bills that keep the ship afloat and moving. In this way, the rich sail in luxury based on the efforts of the common people. In fact, a better analogy than steerage would be to the ship's stokers who shoveled coal into the boilers by hand-and lived in quarters comparable to steerage.

Obviously, if the whole world is one ship, nobody has a choice about whether to sail(barring suicide)-or in most parts of the world, in what class either. Those who are being forced to live like slaves so that others can sun themselves in luxury have every right to rebel. This ship, Spaceship Earth, does NOT belong to the rich!(and they had better remember that there are NO lifeboats if everything turns to shit!)

As for the morality of using force(such as burning down a McMaggots), it depends on what the target has been doing. If they are supporting a military or other repressive regime themselves, they are a legitimate military target. Ditto if they are siccing the cops on protestors or beating up strikers. If they are just serving food and leaving others alone, then another target should be selected.
