Subvert the dominant paradigm (god, I hate that saying)

True, but here's the other side of the argument. Veggie burgers in McD's and Burger King would be subversive. It would mainstream the idea of vegetarianism more than a separatist all-veggie restaurant. Also, what if people really like McVeggie Burgers? If they bought enough McVeggie Burgers instead of meat-based burgers, it could make a real difference in the number of animals killed and land wasted, etc.
