: Sorry to tell but McDonalds did not use Godzilla, predator or Aliens for McDonald Happy Meals. (maybe you should research your subjects that your going to write about before you write about them) Also I hope you plan to keep you child away from school, TV, and out doors, because hes going to see this "hideous monstrosity" anywhere he or she goes.
: McDonald does not destroy the rain forests (fact), or exploit workers, McDonalds is very clean also.
: McSpotlight: McDonald's used ex-rainforest land to produce beef (making them part of the chain of rainforest destruction), were found to pay their workers low pay and there's plenty of evidence of uncleanliness in their stores; check Siamak Alimi's witness statement.
Hey McSpotlight, can we please use truth....the pay isn't that low, maybe its different in Britian, and second of all evidence of uncleanliness in SOME of its stores..Unless you personally visited every McD outlet across the world, you jude them all by a small few. McD has strong standards....ever read bout the opening of McD's in moscow and how McD brought their strong standards there??
McSpotlight: To quote Justice Bell's judgement in his verdict on the McLibel trial:
"The Second Plaintiff does pay its workers low wages, thereby helping to depress wages for workers in the catering trade in Britain. To this extent the defamatory charge in the leaflet is partly justified."
To quote Dan Gallin, the secretary of the IUF (International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers Associations)
"A McJob is what we call a low skill, low pay, high stress, exhausting and unstable job. We call them McJobs because they are typical conditions in many McDonald's worldwide."
To quote the Transnational Information Centre, from their report "Working for Big Mac":
"Amongst the benefactors are the multinational fast food chains. Despite their
unprecedented advances in recent years, the wages and conditions of their workers are among the worst in the country."
What do you accept as truth? At McSpotlight, we're pretty discerning in what we'll swallow.
