Why so afraid of progress?

Of course things are different than they were 30 years ago. If I need a part for my car I know the local superstore has it in stock instead of having to wait a couple of days for it to be ordered (and judging by a recent post of yours you don't seem to like waiting). If the trafic is bad heading towards the superstores than obviously people like what they have to offer. I don't see you advocating going back 30 years in communications technology (what would you do if you couldn't post here?). I guess if your so against progress you can always join the Amish. When you bought your PC, did yo seek out the most expensive/worst service/inconveniently located shop? Didn't think so. People go to who offers them what they want. Thats no evil conspiracy, thats life.
