Qx: The official explanation is a lie through and through and even McDonald's HQ in Ohio sent specialists to get rid of the problem by coercing employees to fill out anti-union statements of non-commital. It should get interesting.

Lark: McDs do treat unions shit but so does all companies it threatens the "free market" balance of security at one end and insecurity at the other. The hard working end insidentialy.

QX you havent been on the Capitlaism and alternatives page recently but could you supply links to sites that may have been an inspiration to your or Everest Citizens political ideas (aside from the IWW I've got it bookmarked already) I think they're interesting and have been reading some of the posts from ages ago.

Qx: Sure. First of all I'll provide this link about the Teamsters who happen to be behind this particular union drive. It's a typical move by McDonald's to scramble and hide behind a story of financial woe
and ,a href="http://www.envirolink.org/mcspotlight/media/press/toronto_13feb98.html">this link might really explain it.

The problems within the Teamsters have been discussed in-depth amongst grass roots organizers and as long as they play along with the boss class it'll remain that way. There's also the problem with the Hoffa faction which is basically mob-run and nepotistic as all beat hell. I'm glad I'm not a part of it but I am acquainted with TDU organizers and I a href="http://flag.blackened.net/llr/llr15-5.html">wish them all the luck.
