Another trap one might fall into is the belief that, in general, people use animals to survive. Closer inspection will reveal that the use of animals often impedes survival and is at best a luxury. With out even going into whether it is right or wrong try considering whether or not it is easier to die of heart disease and colon cancer or change one's presonception's. I, for one, don't believe that I value life more than meat-eaters -- I'm just more aware of life.
