I work for a Wal-Mart in Canada Ontario. Some days i really and i mean REALLY hate working there. But then i look at what i get from the companie and i love it. I work midnights, so the work is pretty stressfull at times (not like the day poeple who sit there and have sociale gatherings when the BOSS isn't around...excluding dept. managers). I find that Wal-Mart is two faced. They make you feel so speciale one day and the next you feel like your worthless. Too many chiefs but not enough indians.
I could go on for hours, but i won't bore you. I just feel like i work hard and do my best to succeed but still haven't had a break. Open door policy is a crock of s**t. Been there, tried it.
So, now, i just mind my bussiness, work and not worry about moving up with Wal-Mart. The only ones that move up are the ones with brown noses. It shouldn't be that way...
I'm only speaking for my store, i'm not saying in anyway that every store is like this. Wal-Mart does have SOME good about them...just do your job and don't worry about it :)
And for those who eat breath and sleep Wal-Mart...GET A LIFE!! LOL
