GREAT SERVICE

Posted by: Ed Eaton ( USA ) on June 01, 1998 at 10:23:29:

Yesterday I pulled into McDonald's in Shelton, Washington, and the engine of my pickup truck started smoking and before long was burned beyond repair. The people in McDonald, manager Bob Andrews and a lady named Debbie, and truck driver for Golden State Foods of Sumner, WA, Rusty Blair came to our rescue. They were there with fire extenguishers, help and advice to a flustered family watching their truck die a rather dramatic death. My daughter and her children were with us and they wouldn't let them pay for their Happy Meals, they were there with any help we needed. It went far beyond what I ever would have expected. We can't say enough good about them or the people of Shelton who one after another offered us help, a ride if we needed it, etc. Fortunately my daughter and her children were following in their van and we didn't need the much appreciated offers of help but we left, marveling at the hospitality of that staff and their customers. They will always have a special place in our hearts. If I have written to incorrect address at McDonald's, please forward. Thank you, Ed Eaton, 1313 F St. SE, Auburn, WA 98002 253-833-1449.
