Mike:

If it's a McDonald's in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, it's possible, I can't say for sure though. Basically I got my material from a variety of sources, including the material posted here in McSpotlight.

Although indications are that the U.S. economy is not growing as fast as it was, news in recent months has been that good help is desperately being sought, because business is up in various markets. I've heard news reports that many business are going to homeless shelters to find anyone that might be interested in a job. It's also been reported that they are attempting to recruit able-bodied welfare recipients.

However, the media reports that many people who are used to the public dole have no work ethic, they have been prone to be tardy, or just not show up if they don't feel like coming in...and it's been said they exhibit attitudes. This from a media that by nature is anti-business, anti-conservative. Btw, did you read my "get behind the owners" response to Base's reply to my earlier "making money" post? It featured a downtown Dallas McD's owner trying to get his business going. The Dallas Observer, which ran that article, is also anti-business anti-conservative (but liberals and radical activists don't get breaks either in that paper.).

As for the spoiled suburban kids, that comes parially from my own observations at the mediocre-performing (not necessarily McDonald's) restaurants, which have a "I don't give a shit" look, and from the numerous attitude, and whiny postings, such as the spring post in the McDonald's room by this Aaron Lisker guy (He got a scholarship from McDonald's, but called it tribulation to work there (5 years!!!), and called the employees who showed dedication to their jobs "stupid"!), and also the VERY attitude post from this guy you just replied to. He's definitely a Marilyn Manson type, or at least his attitude is.

Sorry I don't have any Net links (at the moment) to back up my points. But the Floyds and the Flints would probably dismiss them as conservative-biased anyway. Btw guys if you read this, I have seen evidence that lazy people DO tend to wrongfully benefit from the taxpayer. I have three relatives (won't say where or what side of the extended family (Not immediate!)) who have made a lifetime out of sitting on their butt, having other family members doing for them, and collecting SSI checks due to trumped-up "disabilities" (Read: allergic to working!!!). That partially explains the Social Security problem, but that's for another debating room.

Well I'm long in this segment. I've been wanting to see if the Libertarian Party is online. I think I'll do that. While I'm not one of them (or any party really), they do have many good ideas.

Later!

Mike.
