C'mon now! Why is that post any different than say the series "The Beverly Hillbillies"? Or "Hee Haw"? "Mama's Family"? I've lived in Texas most of my life, I've got relatives in East Texas, and in Arkansas near the Texas/Arkansas border (And all across the nation!). The thread originators post didn't bother me in fact I cracked up at the "newage micro heatin' machine".

And as a reminder, Qx has made a lot of comments about Texas, and people who reside there. Part of his attack on TX I guess is due to my comments about unionizing McD's, which again while I'm not against employees' organizations, the way they go about attempting to resolve the problems I strongly disagree with. I wouldn't "walk off" the job. I couldn't get by on strikers' pay, and the action only strengthens the resolve by the powers that be. Anyway Qx is of the opinion that I base my way of thinking on the peceived mentality in my state. And he repeated a poem about "giving birth to a Texan". I took that jab in stride, and answered it in a diplomatic way.

So lighten up, laugh it off, and let's all move on! It's gonna be alright!

Mike.
