Dear TDI haven't been around for a while, so I wasn't the moderator that posted up all the other messages. But please recognise that I asked Qx and others to tone it down. It's not just directed at the 'others'. I have noticed though that other moderators have sometimes put messages asking Qx to keep to debate, so I don't think it's fair to say we're only directing it at one side.
My comment wasn't intended to indicate that I thought Julie was an irrational idiot, and that certainly isn't what I think. I thought it was fair enough that she said what she did, whether or not I would agree with everything she accused Qx of (and at the time I hadn't read all the other messages in the thread). All I was doing was asking all sides to keep to debate and lower the temperature.
We try our best to moderate the site fairly, obviously sometimes you think we don't do it well enough, but I'd like you to believe that we certainly don't set out to be unfair. We don't have darlings of debating rooms, we appreciate all contributors, and we'd appreciate it if all contributors stuck to debate and not insults.
I agree it would be a shame if people like you didn't come back, I find your posts interesting, and without at least two sides there can't be much of a debate. So please, don't take our comments personally, (unless of course we explicitly address them to you on a personal basis).
