IWW Pickets McDonald's Again...

Last friday about 45 members of the Industrial Workers of the World, Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Vegan Outreach, and Food Not Bombs picketed, chanted loudly, and handed out over 500 flyers to
backed up rush hour traffic in Gainesville, Florida in front of one of many local McDonald's outlets. We got alot of good response, at some points with the demonstration getting militant enough to where participants were going on the property and handing out flyers despite police and management warnings, as well as practically blocking the entrances by marching back and forth with placards. Many cars honked support or turned away when they read signs saying things like "McDonald's Is Unfair to Its Workers" and "Boycott McDonald's Unfair Labor Practices" as well as "Bad Food, Poor Folks, No Fun"! Congrats to the Virginia McDonald's workers, and let it be an example to the rest of us!
