Indeed that was funny, and I can't believe some of the stuff people put on thier applications. Here are some more that the people in my store got a good laugh at.
One application was from a girl who lived in Stroudsburg, 10 miles away. In the work experience section, she wrote that she worked at the McDonalds in Stroudsburg. Her reason for leaving was because that McD was too far from her house. But it was in her town, and if that is too far from her house isn't our BK even farther away?
Another applicant, where the application asks if they speak any foreign languages, put "English" There are boxes next to it that say "speak","read", and "write". None of them were checked.

Another guy came in for a job, but not with an application-he typed up a resume. He was applying for a job as a regular crew member. Well, at least he was enthusiastic(sp?) about it. It was a good resume too, except for one thing. At the top where his address was, he crossed it out in pen and wrote his new address, so the resume looked less than professional. We still made him fill out an application before we hired him though.

One girl answered "no" where the application asked if she has ever worked for BKC, but in the work experience section she wrote that she worked for another BK in New Jersey or something. Everyone who works for Burger King knows that BKC stands for BK Corporation. She was hired, and afterwards we asked her why she checked the "no" box where it asked her if she ever worked for BKC and you won't believe this....she said "I thought BKC was that famous TV and radio station in England, so I put "no". It seems she got BKC confused with BBC.

Of course, we get many an application with spelling errors on simple words like "school" "hour" etc...
