Strictly speaking this is breach of contract, they've renogeotiated your wages- that bit where they said 'hey, we'll give you a apy rise' was legally a pay contract, so perhaps Lawyers could have words with them. Also if several of you are effected see about striking. I'de try and hunt down a citizens advice whatsits in your area to see where you actually stand legally, but it sounds dubious as fuck to me...
