I too have worked at McDonalds for nearly two years whilst studying for a degree in teaching. I have found them extremely flexible with my hours. I have never been refused a day of week off. When on teaching practice I am given the choice of time off for up to ten weeks. They are then happy for me to return to full time employment over holiday periods. Although the work can be hard and dirty I know I can have a hot shower when I get home. If I had taken the homeless option insteading of scrapping that green fat then no doubt a showere wouldn't be as visable. None.
