Not if your language and demeanor are any indication. It was a fair question, asked in polite language. Was it necessary to be crude and confrontational? If you didn't know the answer, just say so. Flaming someone is a poor substitute for knowlege, and makes you guilty of the same sort of prejudice you are accusing them of.
