Animal rights protest at McDonald's

Unauthored

The Irish Times: October 17, 1995

WEARING red imitation McDonald's tee shirts, members of the Alliance for Animal Rights (AFAR) protested on Grafton Stret and O'Connell Street in Dublin yesterday outside two of the fast food company's outlets. It was part of a "World Day of Action" against the chain. The protest related to the ongoing " McLibel" action in Britain, against two London Greenpeace (not related to Greenpeace International) activists, which began in June last year. The case is the longest running in Britain and is expected to continue at least until next spring.
