The McDonald's Corporation in its 1995 Annual Report proudly announces its "Strategies For Global Dominance". It says "McDonald's vision is to dominate the global foodservice industry. Global dominance means setting the performance standard for customer satisfaction while increasing market share and profitability through our Convenience, Value and Execution Strategies". One part of the globe where McDonald's is asserting its dominance is Thailand - the 40th McJunk there opened last month.
McDonald's are now operating a concession on all the Stena Line ferries running between the UK and continental Europe - another "New Growth Opportunity" seized!
