: : : I guess if you consider someone who has worked hard for everything they have had in life as over-privileged, then sam's ideology is becoming clearer....I suppose if you do not want to work hard, and rather whine about how unfair the world is...would rather discuss how we can find a way to develop equality without working for it......Then give sam a call...I would not only defend a system that has encouraged me to get off my but and give it a try.....why wouldn't you.....Either that or sit around and complain about things, and how unfair they are.....

: : : Sorry sam....not over priviledged, just made sacrifices, relied on the resources, friends, family, school teachers, friends parents for advice, help, and encouragement to make a difference in my life for me.....how novel eh?

: : I thought you said you never had anything given to you.Or have you been caught in a lie? Methinks it the latter.Because now you say you relied on the resources of family, friends, even school teachers ( I'd never go that low!)and friend's parents for advice ,help and encouragement to make a difference in your life? You sure there wasn't some monetary under-the-table transaction or perhaps an induction into a good ol' boys club that you may have forgotten about? That is pretty novel!

: Blah, blah, blah. I guess if you mean talking to people that have different experiences and perspectives on life to challenge my own and learning from them taking from them, then you are bang on. I guess someone like yourself who seems to know it all, would not have reduce yourself to the level of relying on the objectivity and opinions of those you respect...(if there are any)....If you are going to take the time to post something, how about thinking before? If you go through life feeding your own fire, and not challenging your opinions and using the resources and life experience of those you trust.....then you will be just another lonely man looking for a handout.....

: McSpotlight comments:

: this is ANOTHER posting where the thread of the arguement has been sacrificed for the ingloriousness of the slagging-off technique. It is not a rebuttal of argument to attack personally the qualities of those you are debating with. This debate needs to reclaimed.

I find it interesting that McSpotlight chooses to post these warnings after Kevin's posts. Why? Is your bias showing? Samuel basically called Kevin a liar, but is only after Kevin responded that you post your warning. Same with another posting.

McSpotlight comments:

the comment made by McSpotlight was in response to what was occuring throughout the thread ... not just 'Kevin's' message. It seemed to reach a climax during the messages directly before and during the above one sent by 'kevin'. If there was bias it was meant to be towards 'Debate' and 'Inclusion' by NOT making some feel as if these boards are just there for abuse and slatings.

'Kevin' posted approx. 4 messages in response to 4 seperate previous messages - it was unfortunate that ALL of them contained an element of the above 'abuse'.

'kevin' should not feel victimised by the McSpotlight comments - it was and is meant as a general indicator that this kind of messaging is non-productive and excludes debate.

Thank you for allowing us to cooment on this.
