joining together IS unionism

You don't present yourself as a particularly educated man. When commenting on an issue, be sure to be well-informed. In your two postings that I read, though your intention was to be anti-union, what you actually are doing is preaching core union beliefs.

The posting where you advised not to go union but to join together with your co-workers and confront your employer together is the exact purpose of unionism. If you were to read the National Labor Relations Act, which governs unions, you would find that it is not necessary for workers to join an established union to be legally accepted as a united workforce(union). Simply by the act of any group of workers joining together for the purpose of higher pay, better working conditions, or any other form of workplace change for the better the US government recognizes that group as a union, whether they have named themselves or not.

My friend, you are pro-union and don't even know it.
