I fell short of facts about Swedish laws and labour movement. I am also more interested in more general picture of McD operation rather than the one that is specific to Sweden. It seems that the strenght of labour laws in Sweden has forced McD to give some consessions to its crew in that country. But that is only an exception. As you know, McD operates very differently in other countries. However, you are a McD middle-manager with authority in that company. If you think McD is such a listening company and you also think the Swedish system is fair and works well, then recommend it to the corporate managers. Or at least ask them why they don't allow the same consessions in other countries. For example - why is it that McD does not allow trade union activities in their stores in most countries? And why do they break laws eg. minimum wage laws in the UK, whenever they think can get away with it?

I leave it to you to think about these.

Cheers
