McDonalds outlets in Delhi, Mumbai

MUMBAI, March 26: Chicago based McDonalds international chain of fast food will shortly hit the Indian market, with the company having formed a 100 per cent subsidiary in India, McDonalds India.

The subsidiary has invested in two 50:50 joint ventures with individual entrepreneurs in Mumbai and Delhi, who will start operations with one outlet each in Mumbal and Delhi.

The Mumbai-based McDonalds venture, Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., will open its first retail outlet in South Mumbai, whereas the Delhi venture, Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., will set up its first outlet in Delhi. The location for the Delhi venture has not yet been finalised, according to its managing director Vikram Bakshi.

McDonalds India has also tracked a local Indian company which will undertake the distribution facilities and liaisoning with all the vendors in India.
