Info on the McLibel Screening on McPlanet
The conference 'McPlanet.com - consumption, globalisation, environment' will take place on June 3-5,2004 in Hamburg, Germany and is organised by Attac, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace in cooperation with the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy.
This conference will be the most important event on globalisation and environment in Germany in 2005.
We already organised a first McPlanet conference in 2003, which was a great success: 1.600 participants, more then 50 well-known international speakers, roughly 100 panels, seminars, workshops as well as a large media coverage motivated us to plan a successor conference "McPlanet.com".
The successor conference will lay a stronger emphasis on alternative forms of promoting sustainable lifestyles and resistance against current unsustainable values. We don´t want to debate within strictly academical and abstract limits; additionally we would like to give room for artistical and cultural ex- and impressions. Thus McPlanet.com 2.0 will also be a forum for artists, actors, musicians or poets representing a variety of different approaches towards a change in society´s values.

The screening of McLibel will take place in a small arthouse cinema (Kino Abaton) on Sunday 5th of june at 9:00 a.m. The cinema has about 100 places and entrance is free.
