Day 145 - 29 Jun 95 - Page 44

  Q. Why would that bother you?
       A. Physical harm.

  Q. You did not like being followed?
       A. No.

  Q. You would consider it intimidation to follow someone?
       A. Yes, especially on one occasion when they beat on my
hotel door, that gave me enormous concern.

  Q. You do not think that is a kind of way carrying on that you
       would approve of?
       A. I do not think anyone would approve of that.

  Q. Would you mind if they followed you -- would you condemn
the UK company for hiring private investigators to follow
people involved with London Greenpeace home from a meeting?
       A. I have no idea what they have done. What I am talking
about is these people would have followed me in a menacing
fashion. There were threats of physical and bodily harm
that I was in fear of, that is what I am worried about.

  Q. If you had been followed you do not know why you are being
       followed?
       A. I knew why I was being followed there because the
epithets and other things that were being said to me raised
       enormous concern.

  Q. Yes, but even if you do not know the reason why you are
being followed it is still intimidating, is it not?
Mr. Beavers said that you were one of the people who asked
him to give evidence about why this case was brought. Is
       that correct?
       A. That I personally asked him to give evidence?

  Q. Yes. He said you and Shelby Yastro.
       A. I remember speaking with our barrister. I remember our
barrister asking me who could give evidence in various
areas, but I do not recall speaking directly to Mr. Beavers
and asking Mr. Beavers to give evidence. That is not my
       recollection.

  Q. Were you involved in making the decision to bring this
       case?
       A. No, I was not.

  Q. Not at all?
       A. No, I am not responsible for legal matters.

  Q. Who in the Corporation was involved in the decision to
       bring this case?
       A. I do not know.

  Q. Does nobody in the Corporation know?
       A. The people who made the decision know.

  Q. Have you not thought of asking?
       A. No, because that is not my realm. I was asked to be a
witness and that is fine, I am happy to do that, but I am
not an attorney dealing with this matter. My
