DAY 212
KIM MOFFATT, Examined:
out or added; it is -----.

Q. Take it slowly, because Ms. Steel is writing it down, and
so is his Lordship. Six months, you do not have any?
A. No.

Q. Is that six calendar months, however many weeks you have
worked during -----
A. So, it is basically from your start date six months
forward.

Q. Then, at the end of the six months, you start becoming
entitled to holiday?
A. Yes, you start accumulating it.

Q. You said, I think, each fortnight 8.33 per cent ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- of the pay ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- is dedicated as holiday pay; is that right?
A. Yes. It is additional, though; it is not taken out or
anything.

Q. It is not a deduction?
A. No.

Q. It is an additional pay?
A. Yes.

Q. So you take the gross total of the pay and you put on
8.33 per cent as holiday pay?
A. Yes.

Q. What are the circumstances in which the person gets to use
his holiday increments?
A. Someone will come up to myself and they will say, "Can
I have my holiday pay", and I obviously check that they are
going on holiday. Sometimes they are allowed it if they
were not going on holiday, but that was in different
circumstances. Basically, I will just claim it on the
computer; and, generally, when they ask, if anyone asks,
you know, how much they have got, you tell them. So it is
quite an open thing.

Q. This may be obvious, but if somebody wants an expensive
holiday, then they would have to wait a bit to total up all
the 8.33 per cent?
A. Yes.

Q. Is that system explained to people when they join the
Company?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you actually recall whether you explained it to
Mr. Beech?
A. I would say yes, because I have gone through the
orientation checklist; so, yes.
