Day 212 - 30 01 96 - Page 31

                                                                  DAY 212

                                                   KIM MOFFATT, Examined:

       A. Yes.

  Q. And one at the other end of that; and then there is one
       just by the wrapping/hold place?
       A. Yes.

  Q. That is the lot that you have marked, is it?
       A. Yes, that is the basis.

  Q. Suppose somebody is working on the clam shell grills, which
we can all see now, and they drop a patty on the floor and
it breaks, or something like that -- or a bun or something
-- where would you expect them to put it, according to
       that drawing of yours?
       A. Well, the nearest red bin; so it would be just by the
       side of them.

  Q. What are the circumstances in which somebody would put a
piece of waste food -- defective, damaged or whatever --
into the bin by the wrap and call?
       A. If they were working on wrap and call.

  Q. How would it happen that something happened at the wrap and
call that made somebody put something in a bin?
       A. If one of the Managers felt that, say, the hamburger
had ketchup dripping down the side and they did not feel it
was good enough to serve, they would throw it away.

  Q. The wrap and call is where the products are actually
wrapped for service to the customer?
       A. Yes.

  Q. So something could be dropped at that stage, presumably, as
       well?
       A. Yes.

  Q. E, at the bottom -- I am going back to the notes of
       Mr. Beech's further evidence.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Rampton, how much longer do you think you
       will be?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I would think about another 20 minutes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will take the break now, then.

                        (Short Adjournment)

MR. RAMPTON: Have you still got open those notes of Mr. Beech's
       evidence?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Bottom of the second page is the last thing I am going to
ask you about this reference. At E, "Scheduling", we see
this: "If you did not play the game and be cooperative
with what Managers asked, you could be punished with the
       worst jobs or low hours."

Miss Moffatt, during your time at the Heathrow restaurant,
did you have any experience of that kind of unfair
