                                                                  DAY 212

                                                   KIM MOFFATT, Examined:

  Q. How does that sort of thing -- where she is asked to do it,
she has got Human Resources as one of her goals -- how does
that sort of exercise differ from, let us say, a Human
Resources audit done by Head Office or the local Regional
       Office?
       A. Well, this one, obviously, they would know -- she would
       be in charge, so she would know she would be doing it;
whereas someone from Head Office, you never know when they
are coming in, so they just come in unexpectedly.

  Q. You have been at Heathrow or Farnborough when somebody has
suddenly come down out of the hills and done an audit, have
       you?
       A. At Heathrow, yes.

  Q. Just a very few questions about these documents. Can you
turn to page 164, first of all, please; and it is the
section headed "Section 5, Communications and
       Recruitment". Have you got that?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The second entry is "rap sessions and crew meetings", and
it says: "There should have been at least one rap session
within the last six months, followed by a crew meeting
which covered SPECIFICALLY the matters raised at the rap
session. Notes of both meetings are required." In this
case the date is given for the rap session in question,
27th July 1993, and I remind you that the date of this
       document is 12th October.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Which page are you on, Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: I am sorry. 164, my Lord. I think I did not give
       the page.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You did, in fact, but I failed to find where
you were reading from and, therefore, I queried the page.
       But there we are.

MR. RAMPTON: It is the top of the page. Then there is an entry
"rap session date" (the last one was 27th July 1993,
apparently); and then an entry "notes produced" in a box
with a tick in it; and then a printed mark and a written
mark. Can you just explain what that means?
       A. Basically, the rap session was held on 27.7.93, and
then whoever it be, the Floor Manager or admin assistant or
Assistant Manager, would then write notes about what was
found on the rap session. So they would go to each section
as it was covered in the rap session and compile like a
list of -- sort of the way they are going to sort it out,
basically. So that would be the notes. Then you obviously
tick to say they are present; and then, on the volume of
them. So how good they are and how much they cover that
was actually in the rap session, they get marked out of 60.

  Q. So, if there were notes but they were not very good or
there were things that were not filled in, you might get
       less than 60?
       A. Yes, definitely.
