                                                                  DAY 212

                                                   KIM MOFFATT, Examined:

MS. STEEL: Yes. I mean, I do not know, I am in your hands.
That might be a good idea.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I certainly would not oppose that. It
will speed things up. Miss Moffatt has given some evidence
       of which -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There is new stuff.

MR. RAMPTON: There is new stuff because there was new stuff
from Mr. Beech. There is also the stuff about the HR
audits which was not written down in advance, so I would
have no objection to that at all.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I was going to suggest is if you do not
need it, say so, but we could adjourn now and resume at
quarter to 2, unless that inconveniences anyone?

MS. STEEL: No. That is OK.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will do that. Quarter to 2.

                      (Luncheon Adjournment)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: (To the witness) If you want to sit down at
any stage, just pull the chair forward.
       A. Thank you.

MS. STEEL: Sorry, I cannot remember what I was about to ask
       previously.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You had asked whether Miss Moffatt
specifically remembered Mr. Beech's orientation session.

MS. STEEL: I was moving on to something slightly different, and
I cannot actually remember what it was.

MR. MORRIS: (To the witness) You said that under Mark Riley
some 18-year-old staff did work past midnight and he took
       that very seriously; yes?
       A. I said Dave Roberts took it more seriously. Mark took
it quite seriously, but not as much.

  Q. I am just referring to your paragraph 3. You say: "While
Mark Riley was the Store Manager, this happened only
       occasionally..."

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Would you like to get the yellow bundle
which is over on the right there?
       A. OK.

  Q. If you go to a divider 39L and then look at paragraph 3 on
       the second page, please.
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: You say: "He is correct" -- that is Alan Beech
-- "that some under 18-year-old staff did work past
midnight while Mark Riley was the Store Manager. This
happened only occasionally. He took it very seriously, and
