DAY 212
KIM MOFFATT, Cross-examined:

Q. But the reason you say that these under 18-year-olds
working past midnight under Mark Riley, was that the store
was understaffed; is that correct?
A. Yes.

Q. So, what action did Mark Riley take to -- well, was
David Roberts really the first person to get to grips with
this understaffing, according to your evidence?
A. To get to grips -- actually solve it, or -----

Q. Yes.
A. To solve it, yes.

Q. David Roberts came in June 1994, yes, and you left in
August 1994, did you not?
A. Yes.

Q. So you were only present while Dave Roberts was dealing
with the summer period?
A. Yes.

Q. Going to your paragraph 6: "As far as the altering of clock
cards to hide the fact that under 18-year-olds were working
after 12 o'clock is concerned, I am aware that it happened
on occasions, although not frequently. However, I suspect
that it in fact went on quite a lot." You agree with all
that?
A. Yes.

Q. That practice would have been happening when it happened
under Mark Riley as well; is that correct?
A. What practice, sorry -- the actual -----

Q. Of altering the clock card, because otherwise it would be
obvious that a person had worked -----
A. I do not remember when Mark Riley was there, no.

Q. You do not remember?
A. No, it did not happen when Mark Riley was there.

Q. So it was blatantly obvious from anyone looking at the
clock cards that people were working past 12 o'clock if
they are under 18, under Mark Riley?
A. No, I do not recall. I cannot remember.

Q. Well, you have remembered that it went on for 15 months, or
whenever, under Mark Riley. Did you never check the clock
cards under Mark Riley, then?
A. Yes, I did.

Q. What happened to John Nevison; where did he go to when he
left McDonald's?
A. I am not sure.

Q. Did he leave?
A. Yes.

Q. Where did he go to?
A. I am not sure.
