                                                                  DAY 212

                                             KIM MOFFATT, Cross-examined:

  Q. Yes, but is not the instruction directed at both you, if
you are the person doing it, and at the employee, that when
the orientation is completed you both have to sign it
because there is space for both of you to sign?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: The point I am making is, it says: "Tick each item
as it is covered. When the orientation is completed, sign
and date the bottom of this check list." A crew member who
is just starting almost certainly would not know when the
       orientation was completed and -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It depends on you to say, "That is it", as it
       were?
       A. Yes. I always go through this part at the end once we
have covered everything and it is a checklist for them to
tick off as they have understood these things, and anything
they do not understand we go over again.

  Q. Who holds this piece of paper as you are going through it,
       going through the orientation?
       A. They have a file of -- like, this would be blank and
they would have this, like, in a file in front of them, so
everything, once it is filled out, would go back into this
file and this is the sort back part of it.

MS. STEEL: It says: "Tick each item as it is covered" rather
       than "as you understand it".
       A. I prefer them to understand it than just tick it once I
have gone over it. I prefer them to understand it first.

  Q. When do you write in the bits about "Christmas party,
       etcetera"?
       A. Just with them.

  Q. If it is up to the crew to decide when they have to tick
various parts and where, why is it you need to mark where
they need to sign the document?
       A. Because that is me; I am a bit of a mother like that.
I just make it very obvious for them.

  Q. Is it not just the case that you mark the parts they have
to sign and when you have finished doing all the ticking
you hand it to them and say: "Sign there, there and
       there"?
       A. No, that is pathetic.

MR. MORRIS: You are saying this is a record of what went on,
yes, and this is a document that must be filled in by the
Company when someone has done the things which you say they
       should do?
       A. No. I am saying that once I have gone over the
specific areas with them, explaining to them, they tick it
       and sign it.

  Q. How can anyone tick the initial training section?
       A. They do not; that is why they have not.

  Q. Why has it a space for ticking?
       A. Because once they have gone through it -- they do not
