                                                                  DAY 212

                                             KIM MOFFATT, Cross-examined:

do this at the orientation. Once they have gone through
it, you should go through and tick it.

  Q. So you are saying that he never went all through all those
       things then ----
       A. No, no, I am not saying he did not go through them.

  Q. He did not, but he obviously did not then because they have
       not been ticked?
       A. I cannot -- you know, obviously, it is an oversight.

  Q. So oversights are made in this whole procedure then?
       A. Not the orientation procedure, afterwards maybe --
       occasionally it happens.

  Q. There seems to be quite a big oversight in his case, does
there not? None of them were ticked.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the oversight which is being
suggested, that there was no initial training or there was
no ticking when it was done?
       A. Basically, once the files are finished, they are put
into the filing cabinet and kept on files. So, the only
oversight is that as he has had his initial training,
someone has not gone and ticked the box. That is, sort
       of .....

MR. MORRIS: Or he may not have done this initial training
course, Miss Moffatt, or he may not have done this initial
       training?
       A. I very much doubt it.

  Q. Yes, but you do not know, do you?
       A. Well, he has got OCLs, I think, to say he has
       done ------

  Q. Yes, but you do not know from your knowledge or from
looking at this form whether he did the training ---
       A. Not from looking at this form, I could not say, no.

  Q. -- the initial training?
       A. I could not say from looking at this form.

  Q. Or from your knowledge? I do not mean the documents you
       have now looked at since.
       A. From my knowledge of working with Alan, I know he did.

MS. STEEL: What do you mean by "of working with him"?
       A. Well, working with him.

  Q. In the store?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Obviously, at some stage he has learned how to work
stations, but is that what you are talking about, that he
knows how to do the work?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Right. But that does not necessarily mean that he had
proper training, one-to-one training, classroom option,
