                                                                  DAY 213

                                            PAUL LEMAIRE, Cross-examined:

     1
2 MS. STEEL: In the whole store?
3 A. In the whole store.
     4
5 Q. And how many of them would be Managers?
6 A. One or two; but then there might be more Managers.
7 There could be three or four.
     8
9 Q. Would they be Floor Managers or salaried Managers?
    10 A. Both -- a mixture of both.
    11
12 Q. A mixture of both. What about on weekdays; how many people
13 would be employed in the whole store on weekdays?
    14 A. At any one time, 13 -- 12 to 14.
    15
16 Q. Say during the busy period, the lunch hour, that would be
    17 the maximum; yes?
    18 A. Yes.
    19
20 Q. How many of them would be Managers, or would there be
21 Managers on top of that?
22 A. There would be Managers on top of that. One of them
23 might be a Manager; there might be two or three more.
    24
25 MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you gave the figure of 18 to 20, were
26 the Managers on top of that?
27 A. There were Managers on top of that.
    28
29 MS. STEEL: What I did not understand was, when I said: "How
30 many of them would be Managers or Managers would be on top
31 of that", as regards the weekday one, you said: "There
32 would be Managers on top of this. One of them might be a
33 Manager. There might be two or three or more."
34 A. OK. When I said there is 12 to 14 people, one of them
35 might be a Manager but, again, there could be another two
36 or three additional Managers on that shift as well.
    37
38 Q. What, one might be a Floor Manager?
    39 A. Yes, Floor Manager.
    40
41 Q. How many of those people would be just doing paperwork?
42 A. During lunchtime, we would try and not have anyone
43 doing paperwork; we try and get everyone on the floor, so
    44 they can help out.
    45
46 Q. There are four tills in the drive-thru window; yes?
    47 A. Yes.
    48
49 Q. Would all the four tills be working, or what?
50 A. A minimum of four tills going.
    51
    52 Q. A minimum?
53 A. A minimum during Friday or Thursday lunchtime.
    54
55 Q. How many tills are there?
56 A. Eight on the front.
    57
58 Q. It just looks like there are only four on the plan, but
59 I can see there might be more. Generally, how many tills
60 would there be in operation on a Saturday lunchtime?

                                      13
