DAY 213
STEPHEN PLAISTER, Cross-examined:
is the fall back of the screen to check what has been
said. I have to say from time to time when I have sat on
other short cases during this case, I have found myself
looking at the non-existent screen to check what the
evidence or counsels' submissions have just been and I have
been rather lost without that prop to fall back on.

MR. RAMPTON: Indeed, it even happens when one's wife is talking
over breakfast!

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Whatever its other pros and cons, it is very
helpful in that respect.

But there we are. I do not need it before the midday
break.

MS. STEEL: OK.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It may mean from time to time that I will
have to check I have things right.

MS. STEEL (To the witness): You did not really work alongside
Mr. Beech, did you?
A. No, I did not.

Q. Right. Do you ever remember working alongside him?
A. I think I worked with him once.

Q. Right. I have just got one more thing that I wanted to
deal with. Have you got the bundle of Heathrow documents
there?
A. Yes.

Q. If you could turn to the first page of the crew payroll
summary?
A. Yes.

Q. Could you go through the names and just point out anyone
who was in a position other than crew i.e. either training
squad, Floor Manager, lobby hostess or ---
A. What, as I go down?

Q. Yes.
A. Noah, the top one.

Q. What was their position?
A. Floor Manager.

Q. Yes.
A. Siddu, he would have been the training squad;
Wells ------

Q. Right. That is quite a way down. What was their position?
A. Training squad. Seymour.

Q. Training squad?
A. Floor Manager.

Q. Floor Manager, right.
A. East.
