DAY 213
SEMIR KHAZNA, Examined:
MR. RAMPTON: One of the things you told us in your statement is
that when you were asked by, I think it was your
Supervisor, Mark Twyser, to take Heathrow in hand, one of
the things you discovered was that it was chronically
understaffed?
A. When I was approached by -- he is not my Supervisor, he
is my Operations Manager.

Q. Yes, that is what I mean.
A. He approached me because I was looking after North
London restaurants. He wanted an experienced Area Manager
to look after the Heathrow restaurant, to put certain
matters right.

Q. You decided that it was necessary to replace John Nevison
with Dave Roberts; is that right?
A. I approached my senior and had a discussion about
John Nevison, yes.

Q. John Nevison, I think, was moved to another store?
A. Yes, he was.

Q. Where did he go?
A. He went to Feltham.

Q. Do you happen to know from your own knowledge how long he
stayed at Feltham?
A. It would not be any longer than a year.

Q. As between Heathrow and Feltham, which is the busier of the
two, if either?
A. Heathrow is.

Q. I think you took over, you tell us, Heathrow in
February 1994?
A. That is correct.

Q. Do you happen to know the precise date or the rough date
when John Nevison became a Manager at Heathrow?
A. The day I took over the restaurant, I believe
approximately a couple of days prior he was promoted,
because Mark Riley also got promoted.

Q. Mark Riley, did he move to a different area as Area
Supervisor?
A. Yes, he did.

Q. Do you remember what time in February it was, early, middle
or late?
A. Round about mid February.

Q. Did you speak to John Nevison about his understaffing
problems as you perceived them?
A. Yes, I did.

Q. Can you take the other file, please, Mr. Khazna, which is
the smaller one -- it should be called "Heathrow
documents", something like that -- and turn, please, to
page 34, which is, I hope, part of the payroll record dated
29th March 1994. At the top right-hand corner, you should
