see the date 29.03.94, page 375. Does it say that?
       A. Yes, that is correct.

  Q. Just look down at the bottom of that page where there is a
long block, starting with the name Dadwal; do you see that?
       A. Sorry, whereabouts is that?

  Q. Down at the bottom of the page. I will hold mine up. Do
       you see?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Has it got a block of names starting with the name Dadwal?
       A. Yes, it has.

  Q. Can you turn over the page to page 35, starting with the
name Plowman; yes? I think it is Plowman.
       A. It just that the photocopy is not very clear.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: They are cut off at the beginning.

MR. RAMPTON: It may look like "Lowman".
       A. Is it the top one?

  Q. It looks like Owman -- oh dear.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: O-W-M-A-N, we have got. The number is
       994511.
       A. The top one?

  Q. Yes.
       A. Yes, I can see that.

MR. RAMPTON: Thank you, my Lord. (To the witness) The question
I was going to ask you is this: this is during
Mr. Nevison's management time, after about a month or six
weeks after you had taken over as Supervisor?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. This is the end of March 1994. We see right on the
right-hand side of these columns -- I counted them to be 24
-- on both pages, a number of Ss?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Is it right that "S" means a new starter?
       A. That is correct, yes.

  Q. Can you tell me what is the reason why, all of a sudden, at
the end of March 1994, there are 24 new starters at
       Heathrow?
       A. Well, at the time I was opening up the Feltham branch,
which is about a couple of miles down the road; and the
branch Manager who was opening the restaurant was put into
Heathrow and, with the help of Kim, they recruited the
initial staff for Feltham to be trained. So we had the
initial training done at Heathrow on a "buddy" system.

  Q. Do you know whether all 24 of these new starters at this
period were destined to be transferred to Feltham when it
       opened?
       A. They were all transferred over, because they were
