DAY 213
SEMIR KHAZNA, Cross-examined:
last part of paragraph 8, you say by the time you handed
over responsibility for the Heathrow store to another
Supervisor in December 1994, that was when you moved to
your present position, was it, Supervisor for Southgate and
Wood Green and all those places?
A. There has been a few changes. The stores that are
mentioned, they are the ones I have got now, but when
I left in December I did come back into North London
region. I did have other stores in between.

Q. OK. At the time you left there in December 1994, there was
six Managers, 12 Floor Managers and the number of the crew
on the payroll had increased to around 160. Where did you
get those figures from?
A. Because that is -- I would collect my figures on a
weekly basis so I knew how many Managers I had developed.
I mean, Dave Roberts is obviously the Manager who develops
the Floor Managers, but with a salary. They are the ones I
either recruited or transferred over from other branches to
meet the needs of the restaurant.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think you are just being asked -- they are
reasonably precise figures -- where they come from a year
later, you see.

MS. STEEL: Yes, whether they are from some record or are they
from your memory or ------
A. These are from my own records because I would know how
many Managers I had when I ceased to be there a Manager of
Heathrow in December, and I knew how many people that were
Managers I had in the restaurant, because I would have the
management schedule and ---

Q. What about ------
A. -- the crew numbers, as I mentioned earlier, I would
collect how many people I had on my payroll on a weekly
basis.

Q. So they are from the payroll sheets, are they?
A. They are from the figures that are given to me on my
report.

Q. What report -- you saw this figure of 160 written
somewhere, did you?
A. When I speak to the Manager on a Monday morning, I
would ask: "How many people are on your payroll? How many
hired? How many had left?"

Q. So these figures you have got here are what Dave Roberts
told you?
A. That is correct.

Q. Right, OK. Moving on to paragraph 9, I think Kim Moffatt
said that she told you that under-18s were working past
12 o'clock. Do you remember that?
A. I could not put a date or a time or ------

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, but what is being put to you is that Kim
Moffatt told you that under-18s were working past midnight,
and Ms. Steel has asked you if you remember her telling you
