DAY 213
SEMIR KHAZNA, Cross-examined:
another store, are they taken off the payroll?
A. Are you referring to your early question when we
transfer people over?

Q. Yes.
A. No, if they are transferred on a daily basis, the store
that they are coming out of will write a transfer ticket
for that shift that they work.

Q. So they would be paid as normal?
A. They would be paid from their own branch ---

Q. From their own branch?
A. -- but the branch they are based in would write a
transfer ticket to the other restaurant.

Q. What about when they are transferred permanently, as it
were? For example, when you trained a crew at Heathrow
store and they were transferred to Feltham?
A. They will be on a permanent transfer code.

Q. Permanent transfer code?
A. Yes, that means if X amount of people have been
transferred, the ones that were in this case that were
trained at Heathrow or Feltham, after the day they moved
over to Feltham they will be put on a permanent transfer
code so they will be, from then onwards they will be on
Feltham payroll.

Q. They will not be on the Heathrow payroll any more?
A. No.

Q. No, right. Why do you not just set up a new payroll? Say,
for example, you were opening a branch in Feltham, why do
you not just set up a new payroll for Feltham? Presumably,
you have got a building even if you have not got everything
-----
A. 1, you need electricity for the clocking in machine in
the new restaurant; the building is not completed and you
cannot have two time recorders locked into one restaurant.
Every unit has their own clocking in machine.

Q. OK. I think it is page 35 of the bundle, it is pages 34
and 35. These were the people that you said were taken on
for Feltham, was it? Were you saying that all of them were
taken on for Feltham?
A. I would say a majority of them.

Q. A majority of them?
A. Yes.

Q. There are 34 in total, do you?
A. I have not counted, but if you say so.

Q. Yes. Do you know how many of them would have been going to
Feltham?
A. Approximately, I would say, about between 20 and 25 of
them at least.

Q. At least?
