                                                                  DAY 214

                                           DAVID ROBERTS, Cross-examined:

half; Abbas 106; and the other Abbas 106.

There are other ones as well which I have not quoted. But
do you accept that the long hours worked by a number of
staff which you indicated happened when you arrived --
because you said in paragraph 8: "It was also correct that
when I arrived, a number of crew members were working long
hours" -- that a number of crew members were still working
long hours three or four months later?
       A. Yes, the Managers were, yes.

  Q. Floor Managers?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And training squad?
       A. That is correct, yes.

  Q. Bardwaj (?) was not a Manager, was he?
       A. No.

  Q. So it was not restricted only to Managers?
       A. The majority are.

  Q. Tito -- sorry, OK. We looked at some documents before --
maybe you were in court at the time -- which showed that
only a small percentage of people that were due their
performance related pay review, their pay review, were
actually getting them on time. Do you remember that? This
was under -- I believe it was under Mr. Riley. That was
before your time. Do you remember that?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not want to slow things up, but I think
you should put a document to him, because we never really
got a very satisfactory explanation as to just what it
       meant ---

  MR. MORRIS: Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- in case Mr. Roberts can enlighten us
further. You only need take just one sheet.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. I am trying to find what the page number is.
If we look, for example, let us take an example of
page 66. This was during the transfer period between you
and Mr. Nevison. Have you got 66?
       A. Yes, I have.

  Q. We have there, the fourth column in the main body of this
document says: "New" -- is that "regular rate"?
Then: "Difference plus or minus". "Regular" means regular
hours, yes, because the next one is new evening rate and
the third one is the new premium rate; yes?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Mr. Khazna, I think, said that this was a document which is
one of the ways of finding out when performance reviews
were doing done or being due.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Ask him if he agrees.
