DAY 214
DAVID ROBERTS, Cross-examined:
A. If there were things like deliveries going on, you
obviously would have more people for that and then you
would have Managers supervising the areas so that would add
on to that as well.

Q. Right. But there would be five people doing the actual
cooking?
A. Yes, but the Manager would help out obviously as well
if they -- if needs be. Some of it would be spent training
people, some of it would be hands-on training.

Q. Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you say "the Manager", do you mean the
Floor Manager who is looking after the kitchen?
A. Yes. You would have one -- it is like an area leader
or a Manager, someone who is just basically designated to
look after that area.

MS. STEEL: Can I just ask, while you were Manager of the
Heathrow store, did you have any Human Resources audits or
Head Office audit?
A. Yes.

Q. You did?
A. Yes.

Q. What grades were you getting?
A. I cannot remember.

Q. You do not remember at all?
A. No. I mean, we have so many audits in so many
different restaurants, I could not remember every single
one.

Q. You do not generally, I mean, you know?
A. No, I do not, sorry.

Q. Did you get any failures?
A. I do not remember what the grades were. I am sorry.

Q. You said that you have heard unions being referred to in a
very joking fashion?
A. That is correct, yes.

Q. What do you remember about that then?
A. Well, it is when I was a crew member.

Q. When you were a crew member?
A. Yes.

Q. What, people would joke about joining the union?
A. No, it was more -- well, certain people would say, if
they did not get this, they would form a union.

Q. Right. Is that all you remember about it?
A. It was in a joking manner. As a Manager, I have never
been approached by anybody wanting to form a union or ask
about a union.
