Day 216 - 06 02 96 - Page 26

                                                                  DAY 216

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I am not going to, no.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So, we should go ahead with Mrs. Hovi on
Friday. What you have to consider is whether there is
anything further you want to ask her in chief, mostly in
the light of Mr. Bone's statement which you have seen, but
also in the light of the new plan which has come forward,
perhaps. There may not be. I am not urging you to, but
those are matters you have to consider. Then, essentially,
the main part of Mrs. Hovi's evidence will be the evidence
she gives when being cross-examined by Mr. Rampton.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. Mr. Harrison has arrived. We have not met
him yet. We would like to talk to him. I do not know how
long the Plaintiffs are planning to cross-examine.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you give any kind of estimate?

MR. RAMPTON: I will be a wee bit longer than I was with
Mrs. Harrison, but not a lot.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you expecting that there is anything
really extra to ask him? Will he go in chief much the same
way as Mrs. Harrison, now that you have his second
statement; that is, one or two additional questions?

  MS. STEEL: I think so.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Is there any risk that we will not
finish Mr. Harrison this afternoon, if that is so?

  MR. RAMPTON: This afternoon?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: None at all. If he takes 20 minutes in chief,
having his statements read, and we start at half past 12,
then I could easily finish him by 10 past one.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will rise now. I will ask Mr. Glen to come
down just before half 12. I would like you to be ready, if
you can be, by half past 12. If you need just a few more
minutes, then mention it to Mr. Glen and he will telephone
       me.

  MS. STEEL: Thank you.

                        (Luncheon Adjournment)

MS. STEEL: If we can call Mr. Harrison?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

                   KEVIN RICHARD HARRISON, sworn
                    Examined by the Defendants

MS. STEEL: If you could give your full names to the court,
       please?
       A. Kevin Richard Harrison.
