                                                                  DAY 216

                                          KEVIN HARRISON, Cross-examined:

       A. To a certain extent.

  Q. Did you have a car when you worked at McDonald's?
       A. Yes.

  Q. You did?
       A. Has that any relevance to what I have written?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not worry. Just answer the questions,
       Mr. Harrison.

MR. RAMPTON: I am usually pretty easy to second guess, so do
not worry about it. I do not lay what Mr. Morris calls
"brilliant ambushes", Mr. Harrison. Do not worry about
       it.

The reason I am asking you about your car is because of the
second page of your statement, third paragraph up from the
bottom, which is about the middle of the page, which
begins: "My personal experience of dictatorial management
concerns my move to the Ipswich store after qualifying.
I was told I was going to move, and my relocation expenses
were not reimbursed. I was given no assistance in finding
       accommodation."

Where were you living when you were moved to Ipswich?
       A. In Colchester.

  Q. That is about 20 miles away, is it not?
       A. By the time I moved to Ipswich, I no longer had the
       car.

  Q. What makes you think the Company was under an obligation to
       pay your relocation expenses?
       A. The way that it was put to me was such that I was given
no option at all in the matter. When I originally went for
an interview, I asked if it would be likely that I would be
staying in Colchester, and I was given to believe that it
would. Now, as I recall it, I was told bluntly that I was
going to be moved to Ipswich, and there was no period of
negotiation or anything like that; I was not given time to
find accommodation. Now, as I understand it, with certain
previous Managers, McDonald's had allowed them certain
short periods in hotels whilst they looked around. I was
not given any of that option. It was done in a way that
       was very sudden.

  Q. Is that what you mean when, in your second statement, you
say that you were transferred to the Ipswich store against
       your will?
       A. Yes; I would have preferred to stay in Colchester.

  Q. Have you looked at those pages which we sent to the
Defendants yesterday from your personnel file?
       A. I have seen them.

  Q. Do you remember that your management trainee application
       form says -- I do not know if your Lordship has these;
there are only three pages, or four. Have you got that
       there?
