                                                                  DAY 216

                                             KEVIN HARRISON, Re-examined:

       A. I am not sure how practical that would have been
because, as I recall it, it was a case of the vast majority
of crew being present on a Saturday anyway; everyone that
was available to work was working.

  Q. What about if the Company had taken on more staff?
       A. That may have been a way around it. If they could have
done that to stagger the breaks, it would have been more
       fair.

  Q. You were asked about other places that you have worked.
How did your experiences and pay compare between McDonald's
       and the Co-op?
       A. I have never really worked in an environment where so
much has been expected from people and so much pressure has
been put on people to achieve the so-called results. From
a personal point of view, looking back on it, I cannot
believe that what I witnessed actually happened.
I sincerely hope it still does not.

  Q. The pay rates, how did they compare between the Co-op and
       McDonald's?
       A. The Co-op was better paid, because overtime was paid.

  Q. Incidentally, was there a union at the Co-op?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: Is there anything else that you felt had not been
       dealt with?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. You have asked him the matters which he
has raised in the statement. I do not think you need to
ask that question. As you know, I am a bit wary about just
having open country on anything else that you want to put
in at this stage after 18 months of the trial.

MS. STEEL: I meant it in response to anything Mr. Rampton had
       asked; that was all.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I suggest you leave it there.

MS. STEEL: OK. No further questions.

  MR. MORRIS: No further questions.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you, Mr. Harrison.

                       (The witness withdrew)

MS. STEEL: Just before we go off the subject of Mr. Harrison,
I just want to raise about the service of documents last
night. The letter that we got from the Plaintiffs said
that the reason for this was that it was a new allegation.
I have brought this up before. We are extremely unhappy at
what is going on, particularly in relation to the
Colchester store, where the Plaintiffs have continuously
said that they have got no documents in their possession
that are relevant to any of the issues; they have all been
destroyed, or whatever; and then, just at the last minute,
new documents are disclosed. In this case, the Plaintiffs
