     1        statement as an expert on the conditions of pigs, but he
     2        also had an interview with Mr. Preston and it is the second
     3        part of his evidence that we would be calling.

     5   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  So I can put interview Mr. Preston only,
     6        can I?

     8   MR. MORRIS:  Yes, it has nothing to do with pigs at all because
     9        Dr. Long dealt with that.  George Huneka is a Civil
    10        Evidence Act notice; just a letter, I believe, it was.
    11        Jean Carier is the expert on Costa Rica.

    13   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  You are actually calling him, are you?

    15   MR. MORRIS:  Yes.  He is based in this country.  In fact, he is
    16        based here and in Holland.  He sort of commutes between the
    17        two.  Ronald Cummings we intend to call regarding Guatemala
    18        and, I think, Costa Rica.  Peter Heller, who made the
    19        jungle film.  Charles Secret, we know about that.  George
    20        Mombeo.  Jim Naton(?) is a Civil Evidence Act notice which
    21        has already been served.  Sigfried Parter -----

    23   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  Are you expecting to call Mr. Parter?

    25   MR. MORRIS:  We do, but the problem is he is being very
    26        difficult to get hold of, and we would certainly aim to get
    27        a more detailed statement if it was going to be worth
    28        actually calling him.  So that is something we have to look
    29        into really.

    31   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  I will put a query against him.

    33   MR. MORRIS:  David Rose we intend to call.  Doug Shane we intend
    34        to call and Howard Lynam who, we have already mentioned, is
    35        scheduled for the 26th March.

    37   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  You need not go through the publication
    38        witnesses individually, but are you intending to call all
    39        of those?

    41   MR. MORRIS:  Yes, at the moment, yes.

    43   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  You have served statements from all of them,
    44        have you, on the question of publication?

    46   MR. MORRIS:  Well, yes.  The Adrian Mitchell one is the one
    47        which is a commentary on the leaflet.  He also comments
    48        about advertising and language used in advertising and
    49        about the language in the fact sheet.  He is an expert on
    50        language and his contribution will relate to the 
    51        allegations of malice as well as matters to do with 
    52        advertising.

    54        As I say, at the bottom there are probably one or two
    55        I have missed out, mainly in the area of Civil Evidence Act
    56        notices.
