DAY 216
KEVIN HARRISON, Re-examined:

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us assume we allow until midday on Monday
for Mrs. Hovi. No one is suggesting that anyone be
inserted tomorrow or Thursday, as I understand it. Is that
right?

MS. STEEL: We have -- I mean, we certainly need time to read
Miss Hovi's stuff.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, very well. Can anyone be inserted for
the rest of Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday of next week?

MR. MORRIS: We can see if we can get one of our outstanding
employment witnesses in that period. Harriet Lamb could
not make, if I can find my note -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, what I -----

MR. MORRIS: The first date she could make was the 11th March,
which is a Monday. That is following the completion of the
Plaintiffs' rainforest case. There is no firmed up
witnesses around that period.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: She can be inserted anyway. Has she actually
said she can come on that day?

MR. MORRIS: On the 11th, she has, yes; 11th March.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will write her in there. What about
Mr. Brett and Mr. Logan and Mr. Olive? Can they be put in
next week?

MR. MORRIS: One of the problems with Mr. Logan is that we were
hoping to have copies of the transcripts because I did not
make any notes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Logan has given his evidence-in-chief, as
I recall, has he not?

MR. MORRIS: That is correct.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We broke off rather than start Mr. Rampton's
cross-examination.

MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So you do not need transcripts to recall
Mr. Logan.

MS. STEEL: Except that if Mr. Rampton starts saying, "You said
such and such", and what have you, then we do not know
because we -- neither of us have made a note.

MR. RAMPTON: If I do that, I will do what I told your Lordship
I would do, which is to distribute copies of the complete
transcripts of the evidence-in-chief to everybody, if I do
that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is a novel suggestion, to my mind, that
there is any difficulty about proceeding to
