                                                                  DAY 217

                                                     MRS. HOVI, Examined:

  Q. So the plan is not inaccurate?
       A. That is very accurate, yes, but it contradicts
Mr. Bone's statement where he says that the men did not
       have to come from outside.

  Q. That may be a matter of argument. At the moment -- you can
go on to it if need be -- I just want to see where you say
that this new plan does not accurately reflect things as
they were on the ground when you were there in April 1994.

MR. MORRIS: If I just point to one example, in the fat trimming
section of the map, which is past the inspection on the
line, we come to the fat trimming, and there are four
people, apparently, there. There are some fat bins in
front of two of the people, can you see, underneath
       them ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- above the words "fat trimming"? Now, those four people
did not appear on the original map, and we can see there
were only two people there. That is a difference in terms
of the maps. I only brought that up as an example of
saying to you: is the fact that you have not mentioned
other specific things, meaning that you think everything on
the map that is now in front of you, apart from things you
have mentioned, is as it was when you were there or have
       there been other changes ---
       A. Basically ---

  Q. -- that you think it is important to bring up?
       A. -- I have been thinking about it in terms of the
paragraphs that I have discussed so far, of Mr. Bone's
statement, and I have not referred to the position of the
slaughtermen at all so far. I will come to that later when
we go through Mr. Bone's statement on that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I suggest you do, I suggest you let
       Mrs. Hovi continue.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If, when she has got to the end of the
matters which you want to go through in chief, you want to
give her 10 minutes before she is cross-examined to go over
the big map again and see if there are any other
differences between the big map and how she remembers
things in April 1994, I will give you that time.

  MR. MORRIS: Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then you can ask her a catch-all question at
       the end about it.

  MR. MORRIS: Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: (To the witness) Would you like to you on
       through the -----
       A. Mr. Bone's statement?

  Q. Mr. Bone's statement, yes.
