       contrary.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just talk to Ms. Steel for the minute? Can
I say, in the light of my maybe rather impetuous call for
Thursday next week, we have quite a lot of work to do on
this appeal next week. If we have to answer Mr. Rampton's
submission and prepare our discovery, maybe we will not
have it finished by Thursday. Maybe the Monday, which
Mr. Rampton originally suggested, we would prefer. I am
       sorry to ......

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Very well, but I am afraid that means you
will only get two of the half term days.

  MR. MORRIS: I understand that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You appreciate that?

MR. MORRIS: I understand that. It is just that we are
       concerned we are not -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Unless you hear anything from Mr. Glen or
anyone, we will resume after this afternoon at 10.30 on
       Monday week.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

                      (Short adjournment)

MR. RAMPTON: Miss Hovi, so we can save time -- this may not
appeal to you and, if it does not, please say so -- apart
from the things that you mentioned this morning, and apart
from the critique of the accessibility of the hand washes
and sterilizers which you have given us this afternoon, do
you accept the rest of what is in Mr. Bone's statement as
       being accurate?
       A. No, I cannot say that. I did not comment on everything
       this morning ---

  Q. I know you did not.
       A. -- as to save time as well.

  Q. I am afraid it probably does not -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It may not just be a question of accepting
it, but is there anything which relates to hygiene in any
significant way which you wish to challenge? There may be
things which you cannot comment on one way or the other -
       you cannot remember, or whatever.
       A. There were -- the only things that I would want to add,
if I am pushed, is just to reiterate some points that
Mr. Bone makes a lot of general comments about hygiene and
hygiene control measures which I do not find all accurate.
For example, when it comes to surface swabs and how often
they have to be made and their value, but I feel that
I commented on those things already in my statement last
       year.

The only thing that I would want to add to this, in the
light of Mr. Bone's statement as well, is that recently a
