                                                                  Day 236

                                        TERENCE EDMUND CARROLL - EXAMINED

went out and collected them from people distributing them
and they were later handed to me.

  Q. What did you do with them?
       A. I passed them on to our solicitors.

MS. STEEL: Just have a pause, please.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you say that, or similar to it, what do
you mean by "similar to it"?
       A. I doubt it is that exact document, my Lord. It was
       originals of that as well.

  Q. But was there any difference in form?
       A. None at all.

  Q. Or wording at all?
       A. None at all, exactly the same.

MR. RAMPTON: Do you remember whether or not on that occasion,
16th October 1989, there was any other form of leaflet
       being distributed by the demonstrators?
       A. Yes. I think there were some small pink ones and I
believe also some white ones as well which were also passed
       to me later.

  Q. Were they fold-out jobs like that (Indicating) or not?
       A. No, they were a single sheet.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What was the second colour?
       A. I think one was pink, my Lord. It was a sort of,
I suppose you call it an A3 size, the one below A4 anyway.

  Q. What colour?
       A. I am sure one of the things was pink and the other was
       white.

MR. RAMPTON: This is just for the purpose of illustration,
Mr. Carroll. Can you turn to the last exhibit behind this
statement of yours. It is a different document but it does
       not matter. It is TEC4?
       A. I have it, yes.

  Q. I am afraid, my Lord, I cannot give a page number.
       A. It is 43 in my bundle.

  Q. 43. This is a 2-page reproduction of what was a single
sheet. It has been made into 2 pages. Do you see that?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. This one is in blue and it is headed, "What is wrong with
McDonald's?" Do you see that, Mr. Carroll? Can I hold it
       up?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. It is the same A5 size as the folding-out one which you
       identified a moment ago?
       A. Correct, yes.

  Q. This is in fact on a different occasion. This is 16th
