                                                                  Day 236

                                        TERENCE EDMUND CARROLL - EXAMINED

"He was accompanied by Helen Steel, aged about 20, plump
build, long brown hair, round face who lives somewhere in
the Tottenham area. I obtained photographs of all of the
demonstrators and I will have them identified in due
course. At 4 p.m. they moved from the Underground to
       outside the old building entrance".

That is where you were standing I think you told us?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. "They distributed leaflets to passers by and unfolded
London Greenpeace banners and anti-McDonald's placards. At
about 4.30 p.m. 2 of their members dressed as Ronald
McDonald and a clown performed an account in a net juggling
tricks. Paul Gravett and another man got into a 'cow suit'
and performed 'a play' aimed against the Company. The
maximum number present were 25 people, several of whom were
photographers. A video was taken by one of their members.

I was present throughout the demonstration together with
Ron Lawrie and Dave Hornblow. 2 members of Unitrust
Security Company were also present. All those who took
part in the demonstration were punk or anarchist types with
the exception of a middle aged man or woman. There was no
disruption to the company business and, as stated, the
       members dispersed at 6.30 p.m."

Mr. Carroll, are you satisfied that that is an accurate
       account of what you observed?
       A. I am.

  Q. So far as it goes?
       A. I am, my Lord.

  Q. Ow can we pass, please, to your second statement. We have
got it in writing, Mr. Carroll. I am not going to ask you
any detailed questions about the demonstration on 21st May
1991 which you describe in the later part of your first
       statement.

I would like to go, if I may, to your second statement.
Can I ask you one question about your first statement. You
tell us at the early part, do not bother looking at it,
that you also attended demonstrations by the group in 1977
       and 1988?
       A. Yes.

  Q. That is paragraph 5 of your first statement?
       A. You threw me there a little bit, Mr. Rampton.

MR. RAMPTON: Please correct me every time it happens. 1987 to
1992 is what you said but that includes 1988 I take it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can you tell me, were they both on 16th October?
       A. Yes, they were.

  Q. Yes. It seems to be a fixed date in the London Greenpeace
       calender?
       A. It is World Food Day.
